What’s the Talent & Culture Team in Vector trying to do?
The Talent & Culture team is building on a unique social experiment at Vector where we lead with culture and not with policies; where we solve problems through first principles thinking and not through benchmarking.
The team is working on organizational problems and helping Vector achieve its ambitious growth targets while maintaining harmony with its unique culture.
Role Summary
The TA (Talent Acquisition) lead will be responsible –
- Be the custodian of the hiring process and be responsible for taking our TA practices to a best-in-class level.
- Identify gaps across hiring, candidate engagement, onboarding and exit processes, and lead improvement projects for the same.
- Execute our hiring needs with the help of 2 team members.
- Develop creative sourcing strategies to attract active and passive talent.
- Mentor and develop recruitment team members, enabling greater independence and building team capability.
- Based on your capability and interests, take on responsibilities beyond recruitment and gain exposure to other functional areas.
- Depending on the capability and appetite of the incumbent, the position will also have responsibilities beyond recruitment.

Reporting to: CHRO
Key Responsibilities
Gap identification and improvement projects:
- Identify gaps in the hiring, candidate engagement, onboarding and exit processes and take up projects to make the function best in class.
- Track and report on key recruitment metrics, such as time-to-fill, rejection rates, candidate quality and take corrective actions as needed.
Talent Sourcing & Strategy:
- Partner with hiring managers to identify current and future hiring needs.
- Develop and implement creative sourcing strategies to attract both active and passive candidates.
- Candidate Screening & Interviewing:
- Decide and execute on optimal screening strategy.
- Conduct an initial interview if required.
Mentor Team Members:
- Mentor recruitment team members to become more independent in their roles and skill-up thereby releasing self-bandwidth.
Other Responsibilities:
- Take up HR projects to further the Talent story of the organization. The incumbent will need to work with the CHRO and other senior stakeholders for these projects.

Required Experience & Qualification
- Full-time MBA in HR (flagship programmes) from XLRI, TISS, MDI, SCMHRD, SIBM, IIM Indore, and IIM Ranchi.
- 3+ years of HR experience.
